千葉県幕張で開幕した「東京ゲームショウ」。
 有名なゲーム機メーカが参加しする、世界最大のコンピュタゲーム機展示会。
この業界、毎年、世界でその市場を拡大し続けており、今年は特に、「E-スポーツ（エレクトロ・スポーツ）」に関心が深まっている。
 巨大な輸出産業目指し、世界のゲーム機メーカも参加。

 最近は、家の中や、狭い空間での「ゲーム（遊び）」から、観衆もいる「（勝敗を争う）スポーツ」に「進化」している。
 身体を動かさずに、じっと座っていて、「何がスポーツやねん」との「偏見」は、古い？
 肉体は動かさないが、頭は働かす？

 この前のインドネシアでの「アジア競技大会」では、「公開競技」として開催、2022年の中国・杭州大会で同大会では「正式種目」に決まっている。
そのうちに、オリンピックの種目にも、、、。

Tokyo Game Show kicks off with stronger esports 
 CHIBA – The Tokyo Game Show kicked off Thursday with the usual assortment of bells and whistles, while Sony Corp., Sega Sammy Holdings Inc., Square Enix Holdings Co. and the other usual suspects all occupied large swaths of the convention halls at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture.

What’s different this year is the increased presence of esports.
