中国に「対抗」できる国は、どこか？
これは、21世紀の課題。
 勢力を強める中国と友好関係を続けながら、一方で、その高圧に屈せずに相互友好関係を続けられるはどこの国か？

 注目されるのは、中国の第一の貿易相手国・オーストラリア。
オーストラリアは、最近、これまでの対中国姿勢を「変化」させている。
 中国の対豪州への「政治的干渉」や「インフラ投資」に神経をとがらす。
 南シナ海で中国が進める軍事拠点化を、米国とともに批判を強化。
 中国で生産されるパソコンの輸入にも、（秘密モレで）疑問を投げかける。

 先日、ＮＨＫスペシャル「中国“法治”社会の現実　＜消えた＞弁護士」（７月２２日）を見た。

Australia becomes Exhibit A for countering China's influence
 It is, perhaps, the question of the 21st century. How can countries foster mutually beneficial relations with an increasingly powerful China, without bowing to Beijing's coercion?

The question looms largest in Australia. China is the country's No. 1 trading partner, but Canberra is pushing back hard against alleged Chinese political interference and investments in sensitive infrastructure. Other countries are watching to see what blowback Australia encounters.
