京都のホテルや旅館が外国人の急増に、値を、イヤ、音を上げている？
とうとう、この4月の客室（宿泊客）の半分以上は外国人だった。
 常連の日本人が泊まれないとの状況もあったようで、京都観光局の調査で、外国人客が50.9％となった。
 調査は59のホテルの9,163室が対象。
うれしい反面、増室を望まれる状況でもある。
ホテルの従業員は「まるで、外国のホテルで働いているよう」と錯覚するとも。
ちなみに、アメリカが1位になったのは、今回が初めてで14.8％、中国人が14,5％、次いで、台湾、オーストラリア、イギリスと続く。

・・・・やっぱり「Nipponは、キョウト」なんだろうね、。

                              

Foreign guests set record in Kyoto, pass 50% occupancy rate
Foreigners made up more than 50 percent of the guests at major hotels in Kyoto in April, but some lodging operators are worried that their regular domestic customers are being left out in the cold.

 The rate of foreign guests against the total in April reached a record 50.9 percent, according to a Kyoto City Tourism Association survey.

 While hotels are pleased with the hike in foreign visitors, the demand on rooms is raising concerns.

By countries and regions, visitors from the United States recorded the highest rate of 14.8 percent, followed by 14.5 percent from China, 12.3 percent from Taiwan, 6.6 percent from Australia and 6.1 percent from Britain.

The guests rate from the United States marked the highest monthly rate for the first time.
