日本列島を自由気ままに豪雨をもたらし、災害を引き起こしている、というのに「水不足、取水制限」が予測されている。
8月も猛暑が続くとの、オマケつきで。
 利根川など関東地域を含み、全国の主な九河川では、すでに「取水制限」が実施中。
 気象庁によると、各地方の２０日までの４週間（２８日間）の雨量は、平年に比べ東海が５８％、関東甲信が６０％、そして近畿が７３％。
 天候のことを嘆いても仕方がないとは言いながら、この蒸し暑さをナントかしてくれと、言いたくもなるのに、さらなる自然の仕打ち。
・・・・・世界でも有数の、多量の降水量を誇る我が国は、何よりも主食の稲作栽培：コメに雨（水）が欠かせない。
 急峻な山や短い川の長所・利点は、裏を返せば、たちまち短所・欠点になる。
 自然の恵み？欠点？

Water shortage feared following dry rainy season, predictions of scorching heat
 Concerns have been raised over a possible water shortage in Japan following a relatively dry rainy season and predictions of scorching heat in August.

 According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, water intake has been restricted in nine rivers belonging to seven water systems in the Kanto, Chubu and Shikoku regions in eastern to western Japan. This includes the Yoshino River running though Kochi and Tokushima prefectures, where such restrictions are temporarily suspended.
