2020年のオリンピックを控え、昨年10月に開発された、トヨタのタクシー。
すでに東京を走っているが、身丈の大きい外国人に備えたものだが、すでに人気を得ている。
 車内空間の広さ、天井の高さが、「乗りやすい」と、車いす利用者にも歓迎されている。
これまでのセダンタイプよりミニバンタイプ。
 背に高さに対応するだけでなく、床の低さも高齢者には乗り降りが便利。
 外国人を対象に考え出され開発されたが、広く活用が期待され、東京都は、現存の3台に1台をこのタイプのタクシに切り替えることにしている。
また、多くのタクシー会社が、このタイプの車への転換を予定。

New Toyota taxis feature spacious interior
 New taxis have become conspicuous in Tokyo. They are thought to be enjoying popularity among foreign visitors — especially those who are tall — thanks to their spacious interior, which makes for a more comfortable ride. Since they are wheelchair accessible, they have also been well received by wheelchair users.

  Toyota Motor Corp. developed the new models in preparation for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, and began sales of the vehicle in October last year.

 The new taxis have a higher ceiling, allowing taller people to more easily enter and exit the vehicle. They also have a lower floor, which helps elderly passengers more easily get in and out.
