全国の高速道路には、現在約1,100の出口がある。
それぞれの出口間の距離は、平均約10キロメートル、アメリカやイギリスは5キロ。
そのため、出入り口の数を増やし、アメリカやヨーロッパ並に増やそうと設基準を見直す。
 国交省は、私企業にも建設を許可する方針。
 最近のネット通販による搬送品の増加で、「物流基地」の需要が急増。
また、ショッピング・モールや遊園地などに直接着きたい等の要望に応えるため。
そのため、私企業が独自で高速道路の出口を作る許可を与えることを検討。
もちろん、一般道路との連結で、「一般車」の通行も許可する方向。
 約20億円の経費が必要とされるETC搭載車専用の出・入り口工事だが、一般道の整備も「お忘れなく」。
・・・・・ところで、「高速道路無料化」論争があったけど、あれは、どうなった？
 「アメリカやヨーロッパ並みに」というけれど、料金の比較はどうなっている？
・・・・高速道路と新幹線が、フツーの交通手段になっていくなかで、お金をかけず移動できる手段も、高齢化社会に欠かせない必用急務。

Area growth sought through private expressway exits
 The transport ministry plans to establish a new system that will allow private companies to build expressway exits and entrances.

Under the new system, companies would be able to connect the exits directly to their shopping malls and logistics bases, which could boost local economies. By utilizing private funds, the Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Ministry also aims to increase the overall number of expressway on- and off-ramps to equal the numbers in the United States and Europe.

Under the current system, only entities such as expressway companies — which manage roads — and local governments are permitted to build on- and off-ramps on expressways. The new system, however, would allow private companies to submit construction plans for such access points, which the government would then screen before giving permission for construction.
